Nancy Kay Louder Gish, 61, a resident of Albuquerque, NM for 40 years, passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2005 after a long illness. Nancy was born in Alamogordo, NM, on September 13, 1943, the 4th generation of a pioneer family in Otero County. She is survived by her daughter, Amy Kathleen Gish Vermilion and husband, Jeff of Albuquerque; grandsons, Dean Jacob and Gavin Wade Vermilion; and granddaughter, Lena Marie Vermilion, born January 1, 2005, all of Albuquerque; her brothers, Barry Louder of Las Cruces, NM; Gerald Louder and wife, Lynn of Thousand Oaks, CA; her sister, Janie Louder Mossman and husband, Fred of Albuquerque; nephews, Andrew Mossman and wife, Ashley and their sons, Bennett and Jack all of Albuquerque, NM; Clark Mossman and wife, Dana and their sons, Ryan, Cade, Seth and wife, Esther all of Seattle, WA; Matthew Mossman and wife, Stacy of Albuquerque, NM; David Grant Mossman and wife, Katherine of New York, NY; James Louder and his son, Andrew of Tucson, AZ; Jeremy Louder of Irving, TX; Ryan Louder of Thousand Oaks, CA; Jeffrey Mattice and wife, Karen and their sons, Chandler and Brayden of Coto de Caza, CA; nieces, Cheryl Louder Turner and husband, Dr. Derek Turner and their children, Garrett and Brianne of Las Cruces, NM; Sarah Mossman Wolfe and husband, Steven and their sons, Zachary and Nathaniel of Vancouver BC, Canada; aunts, and uncles, Jack and Maud Rathgeber, and Virginia Beacham all of Alamogordo; Betty Beal of Albuquerque; and Winifred Thanisch of Austin, TX; and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her dear parents, Beverly and Fred Louder of Alamogordo; aunts and uncles, Shirley and Randolph Reese, Sebron Beal, Arthur Beacham, Claude Thanisch, Mamie and Ross Bryan and several cousins. Nancy was a graduate of Alamogordo High School and attended UNM. She had a long professional career as an executive secretary working in Denver with Great Western United, in Los Angeles for Tosco. After returning to New Mexico she was employed in the Banking community for many years, and later at Albuquerque Academy. In addition to her work responsibilities, Nancy was a devoted mother. She cherished longstanding friendships with neighbors, business associates, childhood and church friends, and longtime friends in her weekly Bible study. Her Christian faith sustained her through her long and difficult illness, her many loving family members were also a source of support. Nancy has a very special place in our hearts, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Special thanks are given to the staff at the Cottages, Dr. Ortega, and Zia Hospice for their loving care. Services will be Saturday, February 5, at 2:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, with Pastor Rick Donaho, officiating. Graveside Services and Interment will take place at Monte Vista Cemetery in Alamogordo, NM on Monday, February 7, 2005 at 2:00 p.m., with Pastor Fred MacDonald, officiating. In lieu of flowers, and because Nancy had a strong belief that all human life is precious, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Care Net Pregnancy Center, 10200 Menaul Blvd. NE, Ste. 225, Albuquerque, NM 87112.
