Carl Ralph Calkins 1929-2005 Carl Ralph Calkins went to be with the lord suddenly on February 1, 2005. He fought a long and brave battle with cancer for the past 10 years. He was born in Clovis, NM and moved to Belen with his family when he when he was young. He was preceded in death by his twin, Frank Russell and his parents, Neil and Erna Calkins. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Carolyn and his three children, David and fiance, Yuliya, Ralph and his wife, Laurie, and Donna as well as his four siblings, Neal and wife, Alma, Marilynn Sue and husband, Bruce Lovett, Jerry and wife, Jackie, Richard and wife;his Uncle Fred and wife, Elsie Rupprecht, his sister-in-law, Maralyn and husband, Wendal Nelson; cousin, Ernst Wolfe and wife and numerous loving nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and services will be held at the St Philip's Episcopal Church, 113 La Luna Place, Rio Communities in Belen on Monday, February 7, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. for the Masonic service and 2:00 p.m. for the regular service. All are welcome to both. The family requests that any donations be given to the People Living through Cancer, Inc. 3939 San Pedro Blvd NE, Albuquerque NM 87110 or to the New Mexico Boys Ranch. Vista Verde Mortuary has been in charge of burial.
