Eunice M. Schewe Anderson, 85, Rockton, IL died at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 2, 2005 in Encore Senior Villa, Clinton, WI after a lengthy illness. Born August 16, 1919 in Beloit, WI the daughter of Hartsol and Elsie (Hollis) Flagg. She was a Rockton resident her whole life except for 20 year's when she resided in Albuquerque, NM. She married Roger H. Schewe in Dubuque, IA on September 21, 1940. He passed away on September 21, 1971. She then married Roger P. Anderson in Roscoe, IL on June 5, 1976. She was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church in New Mexico. Eunice had an archery career that spanned from 1958 to 1985. In 1970 and 1974 she won the World's Women Archery Championships. She also won numerous state and national championships. She was a lifetime member of the Blackhawk Field Archers Club. She made wedding cakes and birthday cakes for her family and also cooked for many functions at the Mountain View Baptist Church. Survivors include children, Bob (Fran) Schewe, South Beloit, IL; Roger (Jana) Anderson, Jr, Berone, TX; Dennis (Willa) Anderson, Albuquerque, NM; and Launa (Will) Whitton, Dunnellon, FL; 13 grandchildren; 28 great- grandchildren; sister, Emogene Selsor; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Roger H. Schewe and Roger P. Anderson; and daughter, Eunice Grace in 1941. Funeral Ceremonies will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 7, 2005 in McCorkle Funeral Home 767 N Blackhawk Blvd. Rockton, IL with the Reverend Norm Starks officiating.
