Obituary for GARRINGER

Lesley E. Garringer, age 32, died on Saturday, January 22, 2005, in Albuquerque, NM. She was born and raised in Albuquerque, graduating from Manzano in 1990. After graduation, she worked as a travel agent and attended college at Albuquerque TVI. She was a devoted and loving mother and wife and was active in PTA, soccer, and became a mentor to fellow cancer patients. She was very strong and a heroine to many, especially her husband. Those whose lives were touched by Lesley will miss her dearly. She is survived by husband, Ira M. Garringer of Albuquerque, NM; daughters, Ashly Renee Erickson and Kimberly Anne Erickson of Albuquerque, NM; stepchildren, Caitlin D. Garringer and Brian M. Garringer of Albuquerque, NM; parents, Gary J. Schwartzman and Sherrell Schwartzman, and mother, Kathleen B. Schwartzman of Northridge, CA; grandparents, Gertrude Schwartzman-Rathgeber and husband, Don Rathgeber, of Albuquerque, NM and Kalman Bakoss and wife, Martha of Westlake, OH; brother, Major Joseph Charles Schwartzman and wife, Geri of Hilo, HI; sister, Amy Nolker and husband, Don of Albuquerque, NM; brothers, Shane Yost and Clifford Yost of Albuquerque, NM; and sister, Maryjanet Carrasco and husband, Chris of Albuquerque, NM; parents-in-law, Mr. & Mrs. Lloyd Garringer of Los Lunas, NM; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Services will be held on Wednesday, January 26, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, with Rev. Lyle Reece, officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Daniel Benaka, Maurice Byrd, John Cuncio, Billy Gunter, Uwe Balzis, Kenneth Northcutt.
