Mary Lou Ruiz, 73, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, Monday, January 17, 2005. She is survived by her daughters, Joan M. Radosevich and husband, Carl, Yolanda M. Ruiz-Kyriacou, DOM and husband, Joseph, DOM and Louise M. Ruiz; sons, Marcello G. Ruiz and wife, Yolanda, Joseph G. Ruiz, and Rueben C. Ruiz and wife, Cindy; 16 grandchildren, Roxanne, Aaron, Justin, Raela, Carlos, Jordan, Katrina, Valentina, Joel, Nolan, Breanna, Rashell, Rebeckah, Athena, Allyssa, and Elijah Ignacio; one great-grandchild, Ean; sisters, Mary Jane Bunce and Stella Lovato; and brothers, Rupert Olivas, Junior Olivas and John Olivas. Mary Lou was preceded in death by her husband, Marcello S. Ruiz in 1998; and daughter, Theresa Ruiz. She was a member of the Third Order of Franciscans. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and an inspiration to the family business, Gemini Fireworks. Rosary will be recited Thursday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel with Father Lorenzo Ruiz reciting. Mass will be celebrated Friday, 9:30 a.m., at Oueen of Angels Chapel, 12th and I-40, with Father Emeric Nordmeyer OFM, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Marcello G. Ruiz, Joseph G. Ruiz, Rueben C. Ruiz, Carl E. Radosevich, Joseph Kyriacou, DOM and Carlos C. Radosevich.
