Obituary for BARRY

John J. Barry, a resident of Albuquerque, died Monday, January 17, 2005. He celebrated his 89th birthday by joining his Savior. He was born on a farm in Argyle, WI on Tuesday, January 18, 1916. He worked his way through Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI during the Great Depression and graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1939. He married the love of his life, Bernetta Breitzman on the second Thanksgiving of 1939, on November 30 (this was the only year with two Thanksgivings). He worked as an engineer in the manufacturing sector for different corporations, including A.O. Smith in Milwaukee and Toledo, OH; The Heil Co. of Milwaukee, Boeing in Seattle, WA and General Electric in Albuquerque. He is survived by his wife, Bernetta D. Barry of Albuquerque; sons, David Barry and wife, Lois, of Sierra Vista, AZ, James Barry of Madison, WI, and William Barry of Eau Claire, WI; daughter, Kathleen Provencher of Albuquerque; brother, R. Finley Barry of Monroe, WI; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Rosary will be recited Thursday, January 20, 2005, 5:00 pm, at French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, January 21, 2005, 8:30 a.m., at Our Lady of Annunciation Church with Father Ronald Bruckner, Celebrant.
