Obituary for MUHLBERGER

Max T. Muhlberger passed away on January 12, 2005. He was born August 10, 1939 in Gary, Indiana, the son of Josef and Mary Muhlberger. His parents and twin brother John precede him in death. Survivors include: Joseph, brother; Antonia, sister-in-law of Albuquerque; Maurice Yarter, brother-in-law of Seguin, TX; Claude Yarter, brother-in-law of Las Cruces; Mary Muhlberger, niece of Dallas, TX; Joe Muhlberger, nephew of Albuquerque; Tom Muhlberger, nephew of Albuquerque; and John Muhlberger, nephew of Dallas, Rosemary Neitzel cousin of Brookfield, WI; Louise Lamb, cousin of Scottsdale, Az and Erine Moser, cousin, and other cousins of Gary Indiana. He was grand uncle to Andrew and Evan, children of Joe and Linda Muhlberger. He was also Godfather to Petra Strausser of Oviendo, FL, the daughter of Tony and Rose Feliciano. Several things were of great importance to Max: home, food, and his pickup truck. He was also an avid collector of audiovisual equipment. But most of all, he really enjoyed being with his nephews, the family, and grandchildren. He spent several years in the Motion Picture industry managing Brotman/Sherman theaters in Chicago. He also worked at D&K Laboratories as a production technician. He served two years in the US Army as a Food Service technician. He and his brother John owned the 5th Avenue Food Market in Gary for 12 years before coming to Albuquerque. While in Albuquerque, he worked at Farmers Market and Southwest Distributors before working in Facilities Maintenance at La Vida Llena and the Enclave Apartments. Friends may visit French Mortuary at 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE from 4-6 PM on Sunday and participate in the Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary at 7 PM. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at John XXIII Catholic Community, 4831 Tramway Ridge at 11 AM on Monday, January 17, 2005. Interment will be in Gary, Indiana at Ridgelawn cemetery on January 21. The family requests Mass Stipends be offered at John XXII or contributions be made to the Max T.
