Obituary for GALBREATH

Dorothy Louise Dennis, age 78, a long-time resident of Albuquerque, left this life on Thursday, January 13, 2005. Dorothy will forever be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and strong loving spirit, always putting others before herself. She is survived by her devoted husband, Otis "Jim" Killian of Albuquerque; her four daughters, Charlee Galbreath of Tijeras; Gaylynn Abram and husband, Mike of Fairfax, VA; Cynthia "Janet" Fitzgerald and husband, Tim of Reedsport, OR; Pam Schmille and husband, Chris of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Jason O'Brien of California; Benjamin and Lauren Abram of Virginia; Hoyt and wife, Alicia Schmille of California, and Seth Schmille of Albuquerque; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Additionally, she is survived by brothers, Calvin Dennis of Boulder, CO, and Wilbur Dennis of Kemp, TX; and sister, Yvonne Peacock of Odessa, TX. Dorothy was preceded in death by brothers, Odell and Emmett Dennis and her beloved sister, Hazel Wagenknect. Dorothy retired from Sandia National Laboratories after many years of service. She was a Life Master at duplicate bridge, an avid Lady Lobo supporter, and loved dancing and listening to music. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, January 18, 2005 at 2 p.m. at Christ Unity Church, 9800 Candelaria NE. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dorothy's honor to the Rio Grande Jazz Society Scholarship Fund, 4821 Menaul NE, Albuq., NM 87110.
