Thelma Harris, 92, passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 3, 2005. She was preceded in death by her husband of many years, Samuel E. Harris. She is survived by nephew, Jeffry Matthews; niece, Jacquelyn Nichols; cousin, Robina Culpepper; step-son, Ron Estes and wife, Pauline of Corpus Christi, TX; many other family and friends who loved and will miss her. Thelma was born in Amarillo, TX to Batley Mathews and Marjorie Melinda McPherson. She spent her career as Physical Education teacher in Texas until her retirement. She then moved to Albuquerque in 1997 and resided at the Summit Apartments and then moved to Vista Del Rio. She was a member of Sombra Del Monte Christian Church. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held February 9, 2005 2:30 p.m., at Vista Del Rio 1620 Indian School Rd. NE. A very special thanks to the staff of Lovelace Hospice and the caregivers at Vista Del Rio.
