Alejandro "Alex" J. Norero, age 87, a resident of Peralta, NM, passed away on Friday, December 31, 2004. Alex was born on May 5, 1917 in Sherman, NM. He was the son of the late Alejandro Valencia Norero and Maria Jimenez Norero and his step-mother, the late Belen Corea. Alex proudly served in the U.S. Army in WWII from 1941-1945. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Eloy and two sisters, Lumina and Magdalena. Alex is survived by his loving wife, Emilia R. Norero; daughter, Judy and her husband, Greg Sanchez; two grandchildren, Gregory and Vanessa of Peralta, NM.; sister, Lily Pulsifer; six brothers, Lorenzo, Charlie, Mike, Gabriel, Antonio, and Felix Norero; and numerous nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held at Sangre de Cristo Catholic Church on Tuesday, January 4, at 5:30 p.m. followed by a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sangre de Cristo Catholic Church on Wednesday, January 5 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Romero Funeral Home, 609 N. Main St., Belen.
