Catherine A. Devarenne, age 74, passed away on January 1, 2005 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was born May 22, 1930 to John and Marie (Munari) Anesi. She lived most of her life in Albuquerque. She was very active member in Holy Ghost Church, Good Shepherd Auxiliary, Casa Angelica Auxiliary, Italian Ladies Charity Club, Holy Ghost Altar Rosary Society, Club Culturale Sociale Italiana, Order of Sons of Italy, Resveglio Club, Republican Women?s Club, German American Club, Sera Club, and Friends of Italian Culture Club. Survivors include her daughter Maria Devarenne and husband Mark Zaleski of Redlands, CA; two granddaughters Jordan Marie Zaleski and Jade Michelle Zaleski of Redlands, CA; one Aunt Dutchie Franch of Scottsdale, AZ; three cousins Mark and Sue McCabe of Acton, CA, Jackie and Stanley Burrows of LaVerne, CA, and Tom Severs of Albuquerque, NM. Visitation will be held form 6:00- 7:00 PM January 5, 2005 in Palm Chapel of Strong-Thorne Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 9:00 AM January 6, 2005 at Holy Ghost Church, 833 Arizona Street SE, Albuquerque, NM with Fr. Thomas Mayefske and Msg. Fred Stadtmueller officiating. Burial will follow services at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joseph Marchese, Benny Verdermae, Paul Zaleski, Mark McCabe, Tom Severs, Richard Valdez, Ernie Jaramillo, and Ernie Rodriguez.
