" O.E.", "Red", Orpheus E. Miller, 93, passed away on Friday, December 31, 2004, a resident of Albuquerque since 1930, coming from Danville, IL. He is survived by Saul Ayalla, friend and longtime employee; John Beahm, Godson; John's siblings, Adriana (Janie) Foris and husband, Michael; their children, Elisabeth and Michael; Mary Beahm; and Cathy Loree and husband, Andy; their daughter, Meghan. O.E. was preceded in death by his mother, Etta Woods Miller; and his wife of 44 years, Rhea Jerls Miller, who was a longtime teacher at Albuquerque High School. He worked during World War II as an instructor at Cutter-Carr Aviation and at the Tucumcari Glider School. O.E. worked for 70 years in plumbing, contracting and real estate. He was a longtime member of the Albuquerque Elks Club. Services will be held on Tuesday, 2:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. Pallbearers will be Thomas O. Evans, Toby Armijo, Charles Mann, John Beahm, Michael M. Foris and Milo Bunker. Honorary pallbearers will be Saul Ayalla, Richard B. Lake and Michael P. Foris. Friends may visit French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel on Monday 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice or the Animal Humane Assoc., 615 Virginia SE, 87108.
