Aurelia "Lela" P. Maes, 87, went home to be with our Lord on December 10, 2004. She passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side. She was a member of the Sacred Heart League, People's Eucharistic League, and the Blue Army. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is preceded in death by her husband Jose D. Maes, her sisters Josephine Aragon, and Margaret P. Heard; her brothers Anastacio Perez and Camillo Perez. She is survived by her loving daughter Gloria Gonzales and husband Willie; 4 Grandchildren, David Gonzales and wife Paulette, Patty Salas and husband Edward, Shirley Gonzales and husband Ruben Barela, and Joseph Gonzales; 3 Great-Grandchildren, Michelle, Jacob, and Alexandra; her sisters Sarafina Torres, Blazita Baca and husband Simon of Montebello, CA, Cruzita Duran and husband Julian of West Covina, CA; her brother Felix Perez; and many loving Nieces and Nephews. Visitation will be at Salazar & Sons Mortuary from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 12, 2004. Thereafter a Rosary will be recited by Deacon Tom Perez. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated by Reverend Monsignor Leo Lucero and Deacon Tom Perez at San Felipe de Neri Church at 10:00am on Monday December 13, 2004. Internment will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, David Gonzales, Edward Salas, Ruben Barela, Felix Perez Jr., Delfin Aragon Jr., and Michael Perez.
