Melvin Peter Deats a resident of Los Lunas, passed away on November 19, 2004. He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathryn Deats; and his brother, Donald Deats. He is survived by his daughter, Heather Cano and her husband James; his son, Dallas Dakota Deats; hi grandchildren, Amanda Cano, Kassia Cano, Kendra Deats and Kane Deats; his sister, Susan Wetzel and her husband James; his brother, Jack Deats and his wife Peggy; his nieces, Stephanie Griego, Lisa Deats and Sarah Deats; and his nephew, Dwanye Bratton. He will be greatly missed. With utmost respect for Mel's wishes, cremation has taken place. a memorial service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 13, 2004 at Riverside Funeral Home of Albuquerque, 225 San Mateo NE. 764-9663.
