Brian Wiegel, 15, a resident of Rio Rancho, died suddenly on Sunday. He is survived by his mother, Sheri Wiegel; sister, Stephanie Wiegel; grandparents, Roger and Betty Wiegel of Rio Rancho; aunt, Angela Martinez of Rio Rancho and uncle, Jonathan Wiegel of Ft. Worth, TX and seven cousins. Brian was born in Belen on March 7, 1989. He had attended Rio Rancho public schools and most recently Victory Christian School in Albuquerque. Brian loved reading, writing poetry, exotic animals, and traveling the Southwest with his grandparents to craft shows. He donated his time to various community organizations. He participated in various Christian youth groups. Everyone knew Brian! Above all, he knew Jesus Christ as his Savior and is now at peace with his Heavenly Father. Service will take place on Saturday, December 11, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Rio Rancho with Pastor Si Budagher, officiating. Burial will follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park, Rio Rancho. Friends and family may visit French Mortuary on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. French Mortuary 9300 Golf Course Rd.
