Vernon L. Thackeray, 94, a resident of Albuquerque for 54 years, died Monday, December 6, 2004. He is survived by his son, Richard Thackeray and wife, Lenora; daughter, Gwen; grandchildren, Mark and wife, Brenda, and Brett; great grandchildren Alan, Amanda, Aaron and niece, Margaret. Mr. Thackeray was a lifetime amateur radio operator (W5CSY). The family wishes to thank CareFree Assisted Living and Kaseman Hospital, especially Nurse Bettye and Kermit. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, December 11, 2004, 11:00 am, at French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. The Family requests no flowers.
