Obituary for BLACKBURN

Keith Blackburn, 80, a long time resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2004. He was born in Alex, Oklahoma, Thursday, March 20 1924 to Thomas and Ethel Davenport Blackburn. The family moved to Friona, TX in 1929 where he attended school. He married Betty Jean Mayfield on November 16, 1942. Keith served in the U. S. Marine Corp in the Okinawa and China Theaters. After several different occupations, Keith and Jean moved to Albuquerque where they owned and operated Blackburn's Ladies Ready to Wear for many years. He is survived by his wife, Jean; daughter, Jill and husband, Dr. Ben Anella; grandsons, Jimmy, Jason and Justin; granddaughter, Jennifer, all of San Diego, CA; also numerous nieces and nephews. Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Ethel Blackburn; three brothers, Claude, John and Dean Blackburn. Visitation will be held at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, Thursday, December 9, 2004, 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in Friona, TX on Saturday, December 11, 2004.
