Lola Whitson (Cholewka) Kilpatrick, dedicated retired teacher, passed away in the Lovelace Hospital Albuquerque, NM November 28, 2004, Lola Kilpatrick was born to Harry and Matilda Whitson in Fay, OK; July 28, 1921. she graduated from Fay High School and received her teaching degree at Southwestern State in Weather, OK; she taught school in Albuquerque for 36 years; she spent most of her teaching career at John Marshall Elementary; she was a member of the First Congregational Church in Albuquerque where she was a member until she became ill; she was a longtime member of the Sweet Adeline's; she was active in the Albuquerque Retired Teacher's Association where she prided herself in making hundreds of place cards for the state meetings for retired teachers year after year; she was a popular Meals On Wheels deliverer for many years. Lola leaves to mourn her passing; her husband, John L. Kilpatrick, her four sisters, Ina Tellez and husband Ramon of Austin, TX; Marley Heggen of Pasadena, TX; Mary Langley of Montgomery, TX and Jeanine Houchin of El Reno, OK; one brother, Cecil Whitson and wife Peggy of Albuquerque; one brother-in-law, Dan Kilpatrick and wife Mattie Jewel of Spencer, OK; five sister-in-laws, Audrey and husband Willie Brightmon of Carson, CA; Ella Joyce and husband James Flora of Tacoma WA; Teresa and husband William of Albuquerque, NM; Carol Kilpatrick of Riverside CA; Myrtle and husband Alpha of San Diego, CA and Robbie and her husband Charles Miller of Miami, FL and a host of nieces and nephews. Lola's preceded in death by her mother Matilda Whitson and father Harry Whitson, six brothers, Earl, Elbert, George, Harry, Ozro and Ray Whitson also three sisters; Edna Taylor, Eula Forbes and Lela Harley. Services will convene at 2:00 pm Saturday December 4, 2004, First Congregational Church, 2801 Lomas Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM. In lieu of flowers, donate to the American Lung Association of Arizona/NM for Lola Kilpatrick
