Obituary for OLSON

Ledrey Jack Olson, 86, passed away on Thursday, November 25, 2004 in Albuquerque, NM. He was born September 2, 1918 in Ellison Bay, Door County, WI, the son of Walter Olson and Amelia Peterson Olson. After graduation from Gibraltar High School in Ellison Bay, he was a commercial fisherman and worked on iron ore freighters on the Great Lakes. He served in the Army during World War II where he was stationed at Tooele, UT. There he met Beverly Leseney, his wife of 48 years. He attended the University of Colorado under the WWII GI Bill, and graduated from the School of Pharmacy in 1949. Upon graduation, they moved to Albuquerque where he was a registered pharmacist until his retirement at age 70. His interests included golf, travel and fishing. In his later years he spent time with his children traveling to Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, and historic sights in the US. In the spring he will be laid to rest beside his wife in Centerville, IA. He is survived by three children, Mike, Mark, and Sue; three grandchildren, Ann, Sara, and Jenny: and three great-grandchildren, Ryan, Alexa, and Jessica. He will be missed by all. Services will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2004 at 1:00 pm at Los Altos Christian Church, 11900 Haines NE, Albuquerque, NM. French Mortuary 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE (505) 823-9400
