Obituary for MOYA

Rebecca Maximina Moya, age 22, a resident of Las Vegas, New Mexico, joined Our Lord and Savior on November 25, 2004. She loved the outdoors and was an avid hiker. She loved gardening She had a special way with older people. Rebecca loved animals and was known to take in any strays that needed love and care. She was a very giving person and never missed an opportunity to help those in need. Rebecca never met a stranger and her exuberance for life was contagious. As small as she was she loved to work construction and she helped her father on many construction projects. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Annie Moya; maternal grandparents, George and Ida Martinez; her uncle, Rudolfo Martinez; her aunt, Patricia Aragon and Patricia’s daughter, Shirley; niece, Claudia Ferguson. Rebecca is survived by her father, Tony Moya; her mother, Carole Martinez; her son, Ethan Moya; her five loving siblings, Rhonda Moya, Ruby Moya, Brion Smith, Wesley Ferguson, and Mark Moya; her paternal grandfather, Manuel A. Moya; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. A viewing will be on Monday, November 29, 2004, at 6:30 p.m. followed by a rosary at 7:00 p.m. A funeral Mass will celebrated be on Tuesday, November 29, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. All services will be at Sangre de Christo Catholic Church in Peralta, New Mexico. Pallbearers will be Rhonda Moya, Ruby Moya, Wesley Ferguson, Brion Smith, Mark Moya, and John Moya. Romero Funeral Home, 609 N Main St., Belen.
