Howard Turner Melchor, 91, a resident of Albuquerque since 1946, died Monday, November 22, 2004. He was born in Morresville, NC. He is survived by his two daughters, Sherry L. Melchor of Albuquerque and Debbie E. Melchor-Schenck and husband, Wendel of Farmington; grandchildren, Howard Glen Campbell of Farmington, and Rick Lee Campbell and wife, Alissa of Carrizozo; great-grandchild, Cameron Campbell of Carrizozo; brothers, Jack L. Melchor and wife, Norma of Palo Alto, CA, Randy Melchor of Baltimore, MD; sisters, Frances Davis of Salisbury, NC and Jean Bucheri and husband, John of Baltimore, MD. He was a well respected, honest and fair business owner of Southwest Machine Works, Inc. for more than 30 years. He was a devoted and loving father, as shown by the words he left: "Grieve not, nor speak of me with tears, but laugh and talk of me as if I were beside you…I loved you so. 'Twas heaven here with you." Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, 11:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Interment of cremains will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery, 1:00 p.m. French Mortuary 1111 University Blvd. NE 843-6333
