Hazel N. "Bubbles" Shortman, 75, a resident of Albuquerque, died on Saturday, November 20, 2004. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Lawrence Shortman; children, Ida Raye While, Larry Shortman, Terry Shortman and wife Lauren, Marlene Lawless and husband Freddie, W. Gerald Shortman "Dutch" and wife Deliah, Joseph Shortman, and Ronald Gene; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and many other family including one uncle in Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by Clara Shawnee. Hazel was a decedent of the Cheyenne Chief White Antelope and her great grandfather Kish Hawkins, who was also a Cheyenne Chief. She was a member of the Albuquerque Indian Baptist Mission. Friends may visit French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel on Monday, November 22, 2004 from 4-7 p.m. Services are pending.
