Evelyn R. Darmody, age 80, passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2004. Evelyn was born August 19, 1924 in Chicago, Illinois, and had been a resident of Albuquerque since 1981. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy, and she is survived by her daughters, Donna Robinson and husband, Charlie of Albuquerque, and Diane Ritchie of Downers Grove, Illinois. Evelyn was the loving grandmother of Tony L. Kos, Liam Ritchie and wife, Kelli, Eric Kos and wife, Kris, and Amy Ritchie. She was the proud great-grandmother of Kaitlynn, Vincent, and Coby John Kos. Evelyn will be missed for her wit and spirit of love. The family is grateful to her various caretakers, who helped her through the stages of Alzheimer's. They are thankful to the staff at Carestone at Quintessence, Vista del Rio, and most especially, the loving caretakers of Casa San Pablo. Cremation has taken place and a memorial celebration of her life will be in the Chapel of Direct Funeral Services, on Saturday, November 20, 2004 at 1:00 pm.
