Obituary for WELSBY

Pearl Foster Welsby, age 93 and a long time resident of Albuquerque, died on Monday November 15, 2004 in a local hospital following an illness. She is survived by her niece, Loreen Schulz; great-niece, Sarah Wakeman; and great-nephew, David Schulz; and numerous other nieces and nephews. Mrs. Welsby was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent and a sister, Rose Mae. Pearl was a member of First United Methodist Church, Pilot Club, Yucca Patrol of the Daughters of the Nile, Four Hills Country Club, and the D.A.R.. She was the owner of the old Sun Drug Store that was located on the corner of 4th and Central and later on Park Ave. She enjoyed playing bridge and golf. A viewing and visitation for Mrs. Welsby will be held on Thursday November 18, 2004 from 1:00 to 5:00 at Strong-Thorne Mortuary. Funeral services will be Friday November 19, 2004 at 11:00 am in the Palm Chapel of Strong-Thorne with Rev. David Okerberg of First United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow in the Santa Fe National Cemetery. All services are under the direction of: Strong-Thorne Mortuary 1100 Coal Ave. SE 842-8800
