Vercie Ledbetter Green, 86, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2004. She was born in Lone Wolf, Oklahoma, the daughter of Emmitt and Emma Ledbetter. She is survived by her husband, James W. Green; two sons, James D. Green of Rio Rancho and Richard L. Green and wife, Linda of Red River, NM. Vercie was employed for many years by the New Mexico State Department of Education as a Certification Technician. She spent many of her younger years with the Junior Women's Organization in Hobbs, NM, where she served as President and was active in Santa Fe, NM. Vercie was a member of Central United Methodist Church and a member of the Friendly Bible Class. Memorial services will be held Monday, 1:00 p.m., at Central United Methodist Church, 1615 Copper NE, with Dr. Steve McElroy and Rev. Molly Shannon officiating.
