Obituary for THAYER

Larry R. Thayer, USAF (Ret.), a 34-year resident of Albuquerque, died on Veterans' Day, Thursday, November 11, 2004. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Phyllis Thayer; sons, Lynn Thayer, Chuck Thayer, Scott Thayer, all of Clinton, IL, and Bill Barber and wife, Margie of Albuquerque; daughters, Barbara Jean Pastore and Lisa Thayer, both of Clinton, IL; mother of his children, Marie Thayer of Clinton, IL; several grandchildren; and great-grandchildren; brothers, Garry Thayer and wife, Connie of South San Francisco, CA and Dave Thayer and wife, Sandy of Blue Island, IL; and sisters, Amy Skaggs and husband, Stan of Denver, CO, Janet Griffin and Mary Murray, both of Blue Island, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Thayer and Helen Tarbox. Larry was born April 29, 1938 in Clinton, IL. After graduating from Clinton High School, he joined the US Air Force. He proudly served for 20 years. After retirement, he loved playing golf and ballooning. Larry was a talented musician who had his own band, Jeremiah and The Three of Us. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held Sunday, November 14, 2004, 4:00 p.m., French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE. Interment of cremains will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends until 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice. French Mortuary 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE 275-3500
