Wayne Purchase, 82, a resident of Albuquerque since 1998, died on Friday, November 12, 2004, after a long illness which he handled with great courage and dignity. He is survived by his daughter, Kathy Putnam of Albuquerque; son, Gary Purchase of Boulder, CO; grandson, Jonathan Purchase of Albuquerque; former wife, Dorothy Purchase of Albuquerque. Wayne lived most of his life in Kalamazoo, Michigan where he had his own business, W.L. Purchase Co. Wayne was proud to serve his country during World War II in the U.S. Army Air Corp. He loved classical music, travel and most of all his family. Funeral services will be held in Holland, Michigan. A special thanks to staff at Laurel Canyon for their kind, compassionate care.
