Obituary for BURGESS

Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Sunday November 14, 2004

ADAM SHANE BURGESS, left heaven February 2, 2004, returned to heaven November 11, 2004. Adam Shane Burgess is our perfect sweetie-boy who possesses the most mild and pleasant temperament. Shane brightened our days with his angelic smile. His long-suffering and patience were unmatched. Many claimed Shane was wise beyond his age, which wisdom shone from his beautiful eyes. Shane never really cried, even as he endured pain and discomfort. Shane always smiled, kicked and slapped at hanging toys and all those who held him or sought to be within his reach-who were many and which was often. Shane, ever willing to smile, influenced everybody with whom he came in contact. Shane was so very pleasant to cuddle, and readily endured our smothering hugs, kisses and attention, which we clambered at every chance to give. Shane is survived by three loving siblings: his eldest big brother, Vance; his younger big brother, Scott; and his pretty elder sister, Tembisa. Shane is also survived by his beautiful, devoted and selfless mother, Shannon; father, Wade; and caring and loving grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. Shane leaves behind many admiring friends and fellow church members, and let us certainly not forget all those who provided love and exceptional medical attention: Drs. John Brandt and Craig Wong, Pediatric Dialysis Nurse Alice Chee, Jane Baechle, and all of the very dear-to-our-hearts UNMH Pediatric Intensive Care Unit nurses, and all other medical professionals. Shane, we miss you terribly, but have a perfect knowledge that you are free from all cares of this world and are working to prepare for the day Jesus Christ will return to this earth. We are ever grateful that we have a sure knowledge that soon we will enjoy a sweet family reunion which will last for eternity. Shane, we love you deeply. As promised, we eagerly await your ministrations. Memorial services will be held on Monday, November 15, 2004 at 5:00 pm in the Edgewood, NM chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Shane will be laid to rest next to his great-grandmother, Billie Lampton, and great-uncle Bobby Lampton on Tuesday, November 16, 2004 at 1:00 pm at Memorial Gardens in Farmington, NM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Shane's Memorial Fund at Sandia Laboratory Federal Credit Union at 1-800-947-5328. French Mortuary 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE 275-3500
