Scott Owen Schongalla, 51, a resident of Rio Rancho for the past ten years, passed away on Sunday, November 7, 2004. Scott was born July 5, 1953, the son of William and Giesela Schongalla. He had worked at Rio Rancho High School in the maintenance dept. before his death. Scott was preceded in death by his daughter, Sara in 1989; and his wife, Sally in February of 2004. He is survived by his mother, Giesela of Clarkston, WA; son, Shaeffer L. Schongalla and wife, Felice of Rio Rancho; two grandchildren, Mary and Cervantes Schongalla of Rio Rancho; one sister, Sandy Riedinger of Lewiston, ID; three brothers, Mark Schongalla of Madras, OR, Tom Schongalla of Walla Walla, WA, and Glen Schongalla. A Memorial Service will be held for Scott on Friday, November 12, 2004 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho.
