Jacob Cardenas Rodriquez, 16, of Edgewood, NM passed away Monday, November 8, 2004 in Albuquerque, NM. Jacob was born August 26, 1988 at the Fort Ord Army Hospital in Monterey, CA to Jerome and Mary Ann (Cardenas) Rodriquez. Jacob was a second degree black belt in Karate as well as an instructor and referee. He was active in the Civil Air Patrol Air Force Auxiliary and volunteered a lot of his time at the VA Hospital in Albuquerque, NM. Jacob is survived by his parents, Jerome and Mary Ann Rodriquez; a sister, Leslie Ann C. Rodriquez of Edgewood, NM; grandparents, Pepita Cardenas of San Jose, CA and Mary Ann Rodriquez and husband Teodoro Rodriquez of Edgewood, NM; aunts, Lydia Ann Haskins, Emelita C. Castillo, and Charlotte Mehegan; uncles, Robert Anderson and Jessie Fisher and wife Erna. Jacob will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation for Jacob will be on Thursday, November 11, 2004 from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, NM. Funeral services will be Friday, November 12, 2004 at 10:00 am at the Bethel United Methodist Church in Moriarty, NM. Interment will follow at the Mountain View Cemetery in Moriarty, NM. Pastor David Terry will officiate. Pallbearers will be Art Rangel, Ray Rangel, Eric Witzke, Malcolm McKenzie, Romeo Medina and Robert Anderson.
