Don S. Barnes, 85, a resident of Albuquerque for 27 years, died Sunday, October 17, 2004. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Grace. He worked in Cincinnati, OH for General Electric for 25 years and then was transferred to Albuquerque where he retired. After retirement, Don became an avid woodworker who loved to make toys. Services will be held Friday, October 22, 2004, 11:00 am at French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE with Pastor Lemuel M. Boyles, officiant. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, NM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the NM Cancer Center Foundation, 4901 Lange Avenue NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109, ATTN: Mabel Coker.
