Don E. Abbey, 63, passed into the arms of God Tuesday, October 12, 2004 following a long illness. He is survived by his wife, Beverly; daughters, Lisa Jones and husband, Bill, Lynette Anderson and husband, Jerry and Lana Doherty and her husband, Dennis; grandchildren, Shea, Allysson, Emily, J.D., Betsy, Tommy, Mitchell, and Mason; parents, Don and Leola Abbey of Concordia, KS; sisters, Evonne Moe and her husband, Eldon and Alta Jean Ginn and husband, Bud; and Beverly's children, Gerald A. Cobb, Jr. and wife, Trish, Larry A. Cobb and wife, Linda, and Craig Cobb and wife, Nichole; grandchildren, Mackenzie, Sean, Elicia, and Jordan. Don retired from a management position with Walgreen's Pharmacies, having enjoyed a long and rewarding career. He was proud to have received the "Degree of Honor" from the Loyal Order of the Moose, the Truth or Consequence Lodge, where he and wife enjoyed love and companionship. In life he was also a long time member of the Albuquerque Jaycees. Don's legacy will always be the wisdom and love he imparted to all those he touched. Arrangements for a private family memorial are pending.
