Obituary for TURRIETTA

Rosella Turrietta (Nana), 88, a life long resident of Albuquerque, died Oct. 8, 2004. She is preceded in death by her beloved children, Virginia Becera, and Cresencio Turrietta Jr.; husband, Cresencio Turrietta Sr.; also numerous brothers and sisters, most recently Carmen Madrid, whom she loved all dearly. She is survived by two grandchildren, Ernest Becerra Jr. and Elizabeth Renee Espinoza; five great-granddaughters, Rosella, Pearl, Ashley, Virginia "booties" and Olivia; son-in-law, Ernest Becerra Sr.; great-grandson-in-law, Jose Espinoza; great-granddaughter-in-law, Sylvia Becerra. Also by numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly. She will be missed enormously by all that loved her. She was known as the historian of the family and for all of her great stories of the Albuquerque area. She had a strength on which everyone could depend. Whether it be family, friends or neighbors she was ready to help and give comfort. All that loved her wish to say goodbye to their Nana, Tia, Rosella and friend. Nana I will miss you! Thank you for all the love, strength and guidance you gave me throughout my life. There will never be a day that passes without you being there. God speed to you on your journey to heaven. Love, Renee your Hita. Visitation for Mrs. Turrierra will be held on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. at San Jose Church. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 13, 2004 also at San Jose Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Donald Marquez, Jose Espinosa, Ernest Becerra, Leonard Madrid, Joseph Madrid and David Ruiz. Arrangements by: Salazar & Sons Mortuary 400 Third St. SW 247-4124
