Obituary for GARCIA

Sabro. Mr. Sabro J. Garcia, 81, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on October 5, 2004. Mr. Garcia is survived by his children, Joaquin (Jake) L. Garcia, Irma Johnson and husband, Vernon, Oscar J. Garcia and wife, Jeanette; a sister, Priscilla Aragon; brother in law, Senor Moises Almeida Sr.; sister in law, Senora Hayde Almeida; five grandchildren, Justin Johnson and wife, Gena, Marisol Doyle and husband, John, Adrian Johnson and wife, Debbie, Erik Garcia and Jennifer Garcia; one great grandson, Michael Vernon; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends. Mr. Garcia was preceded in death by his wife, Francisca (Quica); his sisters, Ernestina Jarmillo and Ida Armenta; his brothers in law, Patricio Armenta and Manuel Almeida; a nephew, Manuel Jaramillo. Mr. Garcia was a member of the Catholic Church, a Veteran of the United States Army serving in World War I I and a member of the Carpenters Union Local #1319. A Rosary was recited Friday evening October 8, 2004 at San Jose de Los Duranes Mision. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Saturday morning October 9, 2004 at San Jose de Los Duranes Mision. Interment followed at Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Military Honors. Pallbearers were Justin Johnson, Adrian Johnson, Erik Garcia, Johnny Armenta, Frank Jaramillo and Ronnie Jaramillo. Honorary pallbearers will be, Moises Almeida Jr. and Joe Aragon. The family would like to thank all their relatives and friends for their kind expression of sympathy extended to them during their bereavement; for the beautiful floral tributes and a special thank you to Monsignor Leo Lucero San Jose de Duranes Mision Church, celebrant of the Mass, to Gabriella Nieto for reciting the Rosary and to the pallbearers.
