Mr. Luciano R. Lucero Jr., 80, a resident of Albuquerque, born in San Antonio, New Mexico on September 27, 1924, passed away on October 7, 2004 with his loving family by his side. Mr. Lucero is the beloved husband to Mrs. Elizabeth Dauber Lucero, married for 56 years. Mr. Lucero is also survived by three daughters, Carolyn Montoya and husband, Genaro, Margaret Najera and husband, Ernest, Esther Martinez and husband, Joseph; one son, Santiago F. Gallegos and wife, Nora; one brother, Johnny Lucero and wife, Edwina; 16 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. Mr. Lucero was a member of the Catholic Church, a Veteran of the United States Army serving in World War II with the 1050th. Mr. Lucero was employed with the Corp of Engineers Survey Branch for 31 years,. He was a member of the American Legion Dukes of Albuquerque Drum and Bugle Band and the D.A.V. Chapter #3. He loved to fish the lakes of New Mexico and enjoyed baseball. Tata, see you in the movies. You are our shinning star! Love you, Analicia and Genaro IV. A visitation for Mr. Lucero will be Sunday afternoon in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel from 2:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 3:00 p.m. by Joann Saiz. Interment will take place on Tuesday, October 12, 2004 at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 10:30 a.m. with Military Honors by Vincent Cordova and the D.A.V. Chapter #3. Pallbearers will be Genaro Montoya III, Santiago F. Gallegos Jr., Henry Martinez, Julian Jaramillo, Benjamin Saiz, and Manuel Mang. Honorary Pallbearers will be Genaro Montoya IV, Albert Navarro and Philip Vargas. Arrangements by: Gabaldon Mortuary 1000 Old Coors Rd SW 243-7861
