Raphael R. Solano, age 49, lifelong resident of Raton passed away in Raton on Monday October 4, 2004. He was born April 18, 1955 in Las Vegas, NM the son of Andy and Fabie Solano. He was a member of St. Patrick-St. Joseph Catholic Church and a board member of the Raton Arts Council. And was the sales manager for Solano's Boot and Westren Wear in Raton. Raphael is survived by his parents Andy and Fabie Solano of Raton; sons Dreyson and Berek Solano of Raton; brother Ted Solano and wife Debrah of Albuquerque and sister Sandra Langan and husband Bill of Aurora, CO. four nieces, Valerie, Hope, Tiffany and Marissa. Three nephews, Josh, Kyle and Damian aunts uncles and cousins also survive. Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be Thursday October 7, 2004 at 7:00 P.M. at the St. Patrick's-St. Joseph's Catholic Church recited by Deacon Tom Alderette. Mass of the Resurrection will be Friday October 8, 2004 at 10:oo A.M. with Father George Silva as the Celebrant. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Raton Arts Council. Arrangements for Raphael R. Solano are under the direction of the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home of Raton.
