Sally V. Wallace, 88, a resident of Rio Rancho since 1985, and coming to New Mexico from San Diego, CA, passed a way on Monday, September 27, 2004. Sally was born September 4, 1916, the daughter of Erineo and Constancia Gutierrez Valdez, in Springer, NM. She had been a Statistics Clerk for the General Dynamics Corporation before retiring. Sally was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and the Meadowlark Senior Center. Sally was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred R. "Wally" Wallace in 1997. She is survived by one brother, "adopted" brother, Ernest Garcia Valdez, of Rio Rancho; and one sister-in-law, Amelia "Molly" Wallace of Albuquerque; numerous nieces; one nephew; and cousins. A Visitation will be held on Friday, October 1, 2004 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho. The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Saturday, October 2, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Rd., Rio Rancho.
