Obituary for LOPEZ

Albert A. Lopez, age 75, passed on to a better life with our Lord, Friday, September 24, 2004. Albert was born in Rolls, TX to the family of Jose and Pilar Lopez, both deceased. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was an active member of St. Therese Catholic Church, where he served as Crucillista and he was a member of American Legion Post 100. Albert is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Flora Lopez; sons, Albert Jr., and wife, Olivia of Artesia, Jose Vicente and wife, Mary Lou of Albuquerque; daughter, Sylvia Riley and husband, Harold of Gallup; six grandchildren; 2 great- grandsons; four sisters; numerous other family members and friends who loved and will miss him. Memorial services will be held at St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church, 4th and Mildred NW. A Rosary will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 28, 2004, followed by the celebration of the funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30, with US. Army Honors. Albert's grandson, Nathaniel, will provide the playing of Taps, as his grandpa wished. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th ST. NW. ABQ. 505-343-8008
