Obituary for CUNNINGHAM

Alice M. Cunningham, 85, was born September 2, 1919 and reborn to eternal life on September 21, 2004. She is survived by her children, Kathleen Barker and husband, Daniel of Panama City, FL, Patricia Smith and her husband, Morris of Ontario, OR, James Cunningham and wife, Kathy, Ann Foreman and husband, Jack and Jean Barr all of Albuquerque; 24 loving grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren who will miss her dearly; and sister, Florence and husband, Jack of Athens, TX. Alice was born in Ellingson, SD, daughter of Louise Arpan and Aloysius Johnson. One of seven children, she attended St. Johns School of Nursing in Rapid City, SD and joined the Army Nurse Corps serving through WWII. She was a nurse in Albuquerque for many years, working at St. Joseph Hospital, VA Hospital, Girl's Welfare and Turquoise Lodge when she retired. Alice was a member of Holy Child Parish in Tijeras, NM for many years and most recently was ministered to by members of Risen Savior Catholic Community. Rosary will be recited Thursday, September 23, 2004, 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Mass will be celebrated Friday, September 24, 2004, 10:00 a.m. at Risen Savior Catholic Community, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE, with Fr. Richard Olona, Celebrant. Friends may visit at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, from 6:00 p.m. until time of the Rosary. Interment will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Active and Honorary pallbearers will be her 10 grandsons, Ryan, Kelly, and Patrick Barker; Adrian and Luke Smith; Danny Cunningham; Paul Foreman and Matthew, Michael, and Mark Barr.
