Gloria E. Chavez, 78, of Las Vegas, NV passed way on September 19, 2004. She was born on January 27, 1926 in Albuquerque, NM. After her husband, Gabriel A. Chavez passed away in 1962, Gloria went back to school, acquired her business degree at Browning Business College, then worked at First Interstate Bank in the Trust Department until she retired in 1988. She fulfilled her life's dream and moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1991. Gloria worked as a school bus aide for handicapped children until the age of 75. She is survived by her four children, Linda Farley and Nancy Chavez of Corona, CA, Gabriel Richard Chavez of Las Vegas, NV and Daniel Chavez of Albuquerque. A memorial mass will be held at St. Anne's Catholic Church at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 25, 2004. Family and friends are invited to share memories of our precious mom, Gloria, at Westside Community Center immediately following the services.
