Oscar Mendelson, 78, a resident of Albuquerque, died Tuesday, September 14, 2004. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sharon Mendelson of Albuquerque; son, Mark G. Mendelson of Albuquerque; daughters, Dana Parker and husband, Jeff of Tampa, FL and Sally Mendelson of Albuquerque; granddaughter, Carrie Mendelson of New Jersey and many other family and friends. Mr. Mendelson was a violinist with the Albuquerque Philharmonic Orchestra for 15 years as well as a member of the Board of Directors. He was also Librarian for the Chamber Orchestra of Albuquerque. Services will be held Sunday, September 19, 2004, 3:30 pm at Congregation Albert, 3800 Louisiana Blvd. NE, with Rabbi Joseph Black officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
