Obituary for GRAY

Ana O. (Chema) Gray, (91), beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away on September 14, 2004. Ana was the widow of Charles H. Gray, Mgst USMC, who died in 1968. Ana, the oldest of six children, was born in Montecristi, Dominican Republic, to Achille and Catrina (Tavarez Ramos) Petit. Ana and Charles Gray met in Haiti and were married there in 1935. They moved to St. Croix, Virgin Islands, where their son, Charles P. Gray, of Albuquerque, New Mexico was born. Daughter Audrey E. Gray, also of Albuquerque, was born in Puerto Rico. After residing in the Caribbean and Panama for many years, the family moved to Arizona, where Ana resided for over 50 years before moving to Albuquerque four months ago. Ana is survived by her brother, Ralph Petit and her sisters, Thelma Drew and Eva Cramer, who all reside in New York. She is also survived by her children Charles and Audrey, her daughter-in-law Kathleen Gray, grandson, Michael Gray and his wife, Maura; grandson, Paul Gray and his wife, Lisa Brady, and granddaughter, Alysia Gray Painter and her husband, Christopher Painter. Ana's great-grandchildren are Nicole, Sean, Andrew and Bailey Gray, and Hunter and Skyler Brady-Gray. Not to forget Elli Maud, a family Schnauzer.
