Randa Leona. Former Albuquerque resident, Randa Leona Sutherland crossed over on Saturday, 9-4-04 in Mesa, AZ. She was born 5-12-23. Her survivors include her childhood sweetheart and husband, Dr. John Sutherland of the family home; son, Dr. Gary Sutherland and wife, Brigitte from Elephant Butte; daughter, Ginger and husband, Dave Williams of Chandler, AZ; and daughter, Dixie and husband, Dave Loving of Dallas, TX. Survivors also include 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Randa embraced life. She was the 1st woman in NM to fly a jet. She raced airplanes for the chiropractic association. She fished Navajo Lake for salmon in the dead of winter. She wintered in San Carlos, Mexico for over 20 years. She traveled the world. She loved life. Her ashes will be scattered over the Tooth of Tyne in Northern NM.
