Lillian S. Candelaria, 80, went home to be with the Lord on September 4, 2004. She was born April 20, 1924 in Mountainair, New Mexico. Mrs. Candelaria passed away after a long battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Higinio Candelaria; her daughter, Conice Chavez and husband Julian; her sons, Bernardino Candelaria and wife Flora, Solano Candelaria and Salomon Candelaria; one brother, Ofimiano Smith and wife Marylou; seven grandchildren, Frank, Lorie, Gina, Danny, Arlene and Amanda; four great great grandchildren, Mariah, D'Andra, Heaven and Reyes and many nieces and nephews. A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. at San Antonito Church in San Antonito, NM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday morning at 10:00 a.m. also at San Antonito Church. Burial will follow at the San Antonito Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Frank Sanchez, Danny Candelaria, Benny Romero, Ben Baldwin, Petronillo Jaramillo and Magdaleno Garcia. Lillian will be deeply missed by her loving family.
