Antonio "Tony" Garcia, 89, a resident of Albuquerque since 1961 and retiree of Sandia Labs, passed on Thursday, September 2, 2004. He is survived by his wife, Evangeline U. Garcia of Albuquerque, three daughters, Viola Garduno and husband, Daniel of Albuquerque; Kathie E. Martinez and husband, Cruz of Rowland Heights, CA; Mary Ann Hansen and husband, Gilbert of Las Vegas, NV; three sons, Anthony "Sonny" Garcia, Jr.; Ralph Garcia and wife, Kathy, and Steven J. Garcia all of Albuquerque; two sisters, Nora Garcia and Magdalena Urioste, all of Las Vegas, NM; a brother, Luis Garcia and wife, Ida of Denver, CO; six grandchildren, Daniel F. Garduno, Jr., Cynthia M. Garduno, Adrian Garcia, Jennifer L. Hansen, Denise L. Martinez-Zerra, and Stephen A. Garcia; and great-granddaughter, Macie L. Skretteberg-Garduno. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Evangeline Marie Garcia. A Rosary will be recited by Flora Gomez Friday, September 3, 2004 at 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, September 4, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. at Mount Calvary Mausoleum Chapel, 1900 Edith NE. Entombment will follow. Pallbearers will be David Gonzales, Eddie Garcia, Ray Gonzales, Robert Martinez, Patrick Perea, and Matthew Perea. Friends may visit French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, Friday, September 3, 2004 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Special thanks to Anna Kaseman Hospice.
