Obituary for BROWN

Lorraine Mary Brown, age 78, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, was called home by our Heavenly Father, Tuesday, August 31, 2004, while surrounded by her loving family. Lorraine was born in Albuquerque to the late Manuel and Cora Garcia (from the Old Town area). She was a resident of Rio Rancho and a parishioner of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Lorraine is survived by her loving children, Helen Strader, Sandy Garcia, Larry Brown, Mike Brown, and Walt Brown, Jr.; her precious grandchildren, Brian, Eric, and Kelli Strader, Jessica and Michelle Brown, and Walt (Wally) Brown, III; and her great-grandchildren, Ty, Daxton, and Devon Strader, and the newest, Damon Brown. Also surviving is her sister, Pauline Prendergast and husband, Dan, and their children and grandchildren. Lorraine will be greatly missed by her loving family. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated this morning at 11:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Research & Treatment Center, 900 Camino De Salud NE, Albuquerque, NM 87131; in hopes of someday finding a cure for cancer.
