Mr. Jose A. ( Tony ) Garduno, 89, born December 25, 1914. Our Lord and Our Blessed Mother, who he loved devoutly, embraced him with their loving arms as they raised him from his body so ill, to take him home to rest and suffer no more on the glorious morning of August 29, 2004. Tony is survived by his brother, Vincente Garduno of Salt Lake City, UT; a loving sister and brother-in-law, Edwina and Abran Apodaca of Albuquerque, NM; a sister-in-law, Frances Garduno, wife of the late Raymond Garduno of Bernalillo, NM; many nieces,; nephews; cousins; and friends. Tony was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Reymundo and Magdalena Garduno; and his beloved brother, Raymond Garduno. Tony was born in Vaughn, NM. The family then moved to Bernalillo, a place he loved, and a place that loved him. After a horrific accident that almost took his life, he lived and was cared for by his loving sister, Edwina and her husband, Abran. Tony was a member of the Catholic Church and a Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II serving under the command of General Patton. He was a proud member of the American Legion. Our beloved uncle loved his Spanish music and would dedicate beautiful songs to his nieces whom he loved so much. A loving gentle spirit who embraced humility shall forever be our inspiration. We shall all come together in prayer and song as we celebrate his life.
