Tony P. Chavez died Monday, August 30, 2004 in Albuquerque at the age of 83. He is survived by his beloved companion of 43 years, Katherine Soto; daughter, Nancy Hogan; granddaughter, Nicole Ann Hogan; and Helen and Luis Soto. He is also survived by his brother, Paul Chavez and wife, Josie; many nieces; nephews; and great-nieces and -nephews. A Rosary for Mr. Chavez will be recited on Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. with visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2004 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
