Obituary for BLOCH

Eldon David Bloch passed away at his home in Tacoma, WA on August 3, 2004 following a long battle with lung cancer. He was born in Castle Rock, CO on February 19, 1927 to Elizabeth and Joseph Bloch. He was 77. Dave, as he was better known to family and friends, was preceded in death by his parents; and step-father, Kenneth Dixon. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Nancy, and three sons of this marriage, and their wives: Fletcher Bloch and wife, Dianne, of Centennial, CO; Vaiden Bloch and wife, Jennifer, of Moscow, ID; and Dr. Eldon Bloch and wife, Terri, of Gig Harbor, WA. He is also survived by a son and daughter from a previous marriage: David Bloch of Denver, CO and Kandice Bloch of Sacramento, CA. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Dave served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, and was active in civic and fraternal organizations. He enjoyed collecting antiques, coins, and memorabilia, and working in his home workshop. Cremation ahs taken place and there was no Service as the deceased wished.
