Carmelita Martinez, age 81, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, was called home to be with the Lord our Savior, early Friday morning, August 27, 2004. She was life long resident of Corrales, NM and a parishioner of San Ysidro Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose M. Martinez, in June of this year; and a brother, Alejandro Martinez. Carmelita is survived by her loving children, Jose Flaminio Martinez of Algodones, NM, Rose L. Montoya of Corrales, Joseph Martinez and wife, Debbie, Raymond Martinez, and Jennie Avritt and husband, Shawn, all of Albuquerque; numerous grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Carlota Ulibarri and Maxine Arias; numerous nieces, nephews, and other beloved family members. Carmelita will be greatly missed by her loving family. Visitations will be Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited Sunday at 5:00 p.m. at San Ysidro Catholic Church in Corrales. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:00 a.m. also at the church. Interment will follow at the Corrales Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Alex Martinez, Joey Gonzales, Ruben Montoya, Gabriel Avritt, Matthew Gonzales, and Christopher Montoya. Honorary bearers will be Martin Martinez, Alan McClellan, Sean Avritt, Kenneth Martinez, and Daniel McClellan. Funeral services entrusted to: Alameda Mortuary 9420 4th Street NW 898-3160
